The hottest trend currently in gaming is social gaming. Social gaming is very popular because it allows you to play with your friends or complete strangers and gives you the ability to communicate via a headset. Some of the most popular social titles are games like Halo, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Little Big Planet and many more.

New innovations like Xbox 360 Kinect and the PlayStation Move are changing the way you play games. These gadgets allow you to get a group of friends together or the whole family and play a game together. The Xbox Kinect does not even require a controller, YOU are the controller. The Kinect gives you a full body gaming experience which is very cool. The PlayStation Move is not as hands free as the Kinect, as it requires a wand-like controller, similar to the Wii console. The Move is also geared for the social side of gaming and encourages the entire family to get involved.

The first person shooter games like Call of Duty and Halo have benefited greatly from this social trend. Both PlayStation and Xbox have online portals where you can sign on for any game but these titles are probably the most well-known for being social gaming titles.

Another gadget that is impacting this gaming trend is the ability to take gaming anywhere is the pico projector. Picos allow you to project up to a 60″ screen which is perfect for taking your gaming to go. Multi-player titles are the perfect application for pico projectors.

According to the sales numbers reported by Sony and Microsoft, the Move is currently outperforming the Kinect. Sony is reporting that since launching in September the Move has sold 4.1 million units worldwide. This announcement came after Microsoft announced it had sold 2.5 million units in the first 25 days.

Both of these devices should be popular with the holiday season right around the corner it will be interesting to see which gadget comes out on top.

One advantage to the ever changing face of technology, on the other hand, is that the older versions of certain gadgets and electronics become more affordable and accessible as newer versions are created.

So just what are the latest technology fads and newest gadgets that people just must have? It seems that most people are looking for the gadget that will make life easier. They want one gadget that will do more than one task so they can work on their multi-tasking skills as well. People want to be entertained, keep up with news, and write their grocery list all with the same electronic gadget. Another aspect people look for in the latest technology is the largest amount of memory or storage possible in the smallest, most portable container possible.

Take for example, the new iPhone and iPod from Apple, the latest technology in cell phones. At the very least, it is of course an electronic gadget that makes phone calls. But it also acts as an electronic photo album, PDA, computer, game system, camera, video camera, and any other tool or gizmo you can think of all rolled into one small, sleek looking gadget that everyone wants to have. The must-have iPhone allows the lucky owner to basically take care of all of their daily appointments, calls, and tasks from one location. Although its appearance may have gotten smaller, the latest technology in cell phones has definitely gotten bigger, faster, and stronger.

Who ever you talk to these days everybody seems to be downloading stuff of the Internet. Music, movies, software and yes games. The gaming industry is massive, a multi million dollar industry larger even than the movie industry (I know hard to believe but true). Nobody wants to go to the shop and buy games anymore they want the speed and easy of a game download and there are plenty of people offering this service. Downloadable PSP games are now everywhere and here to stay.

So can you trust everybody? Well no you can not, a friend of mine found a download site and proceeded to download what he thought was God Of War for his PSP and half way through his computer froze. As it turns out he had downloaded a nasty virus and $150 later his computer was up and running again. A costly mistake. Now I’m not trying to put you off downloading PSP games far from it. I download hundreds of games a month to play, I’m just saying you have to be careful and trust the download site.

I get my PSP downloads from a membership site. Before you all start moaning and crying about membership fees let me explain. I paid a one of fee and it wasn’t even the price of one PSP game. I never have to pay anything ever again, just that one payment. I now have a lifetime platinum and access to everything on the site for safe download. I can absolutely guarantee I will never get a virus or any adware or spyware on my computer (something free downloads could never guarantee).
